A report on shape.com revealed how Apple Watch SOS feature saved another life by calling for help after her car was hit by a drunk driver. “I feel so blessed that I had my Apple Watch on,” the victim said.

Apple Watch SOS feature saved son and mom’s life after car crash
Twenty-four-year-old Kacie Anderson from Hannover, PA, wrote a letter to Apple telling how her Apple Watch saved her life and that of her baby. She explained how her car was stationary at a red light when it was hit by a drunk driver.
Kacie said:
“The moment he hit us everything inside the car went airborne…I blacked out for about a minute and could not see. My eyes were wide open but all I saw was black,” she told Shape. “My hands flew around to feel for my phone and then I realized I had my watch on and commanded it to call 911.”

The ambulance came and took Kacie and her son to hospital, and after checking both of them, the hospital discovered Kacie got some serious injuries from the accident, including severe concussion and a swollen brain, as well as two ruptured neck muscles but the baby escaped with just some bruises.
Kacie thanks, Apple Watch for saving her and her son.”I feel blessed that I had my Apple watch on” she said. Kacie could have suffered a more severe injury in the accident if she had not been able to call for an ambulance so quickly.
The apple watch SOS feature is a very useful feature on the device and on our smartphones even. Apple watch now seems to be a lifesaver gadget which I think every family should have. 9to5 Mac last year also shared a report of Apple Watch saving a man’s life by alarming unusual changes in his heart beats.
