DesignEvo is a free online logo maker developed by PearlMountain Limited. It is a simple ‘drag and drop’ graphic design tool that makes logo design easy for anyone.
DesignEvo is a web-based tool but it also has a desktop and mobile application which you can work with.

How to Create a professional Logo with DesignEvo?
To create a professional logo for your website or Blog with DesginEvo, follow the simple step by step guide below.
Step 1: Register an account with DesginEvo
First off, visit DesignEvo website and signup for an account. You can use DesignEvo without registering an account, but, when you need to save your work for further editing you won’t be able to do that.
Sign up for an account using your email, alternatively, you can use your Google+ or Facebook profile to signup.
After signing up is complete, click the make free logo button to go to the next page.
Step 2: Choose a Logo Template
After you must have clicked the make a free logo button, you’ll land on the template page.
Now, if you have no idea how to start designing your logo, you can the several templates you see to start based on the category of your choice or you can create a blank document to start a fresh project.
There are over 5000 professional logo templates which you to choose from and you can also search for a template by entering some keywords into the search box.
Once you select a template, you’d be prompted to enter your company name and slogan, but you can skip and add later.
Step 3: Customize your Logo (Add Icon, Text & Shape)
The next step is to customize the Logo template you have chosen, you can add texts, icons and shapes to make a unique logo for yourself. There are lots of professionally designed icons for you to choose from. You can also multiple icons according to your preference.
Step 4: Preview Logo
When you’re through editing your logo, preview your design before Downloading
The preview section shows you how your logo will look like on a business card, letter, website/blog, T-shirt etc…
Step 5: Download and Pricing
Now, when you click the download button, you’ll be redirected to the download page where you’ll find the free and paid option to download your logo.
If you opt for the free option, you’re required to give credit by sharing DesignEvo on your social media, blog or website. This step is ‘compulsory’ but you can still download without giving credits.
Since DesignEvo is completely Free to use, it only makes sense if you give credit to it by sharing it on your social media or website.
With the free option, there are 2 file formats available in the zip. file, namely JPG and PNG. However, the free logo comes in a low-resolution JPG and PNG format and also limited to editing and download options.
For the paid options, it comes in two packages, the basic package and the plus package.
Paid Logos
Like I have said earlier, the paid logo comes in two different packages, the Basic version which cost $19.99 and Plus package cost $39.99.
So if you’re really serious about making a professional logo for your brand, the paid option will be best for you.
The paid logos consists of a high-resolution JPG, PNG with transparent background and suitable to use on website or blogs, unlike the free version.
With the paid version, you’re able to edit and re-download your logo any day any time as both paid version offers a lifetime support, plus your logo is print-ready.
Now, let’s talk about the differences
Difference between Basic & Plus package
The difference between the Basic and Plus package is that the Plus package gives your extra options to download your logos in Vector PDF and SVG files and you also have the right to register a trademark.
NOTE: Both paid packages are a one-time fee for ONE logo. Meaning once you pay for a logo and you decide to create another from scratch you’ll have to purchase again.
So if you want another logo different from the logo you purchased already and you don’t want to purchase again, you can only go back to your purchased logo and re-edit to another logo. Then you can download again for free.

From the screenshot above, you can see the free version folder contains a JPG and PNG file while the paid version (Basic package) contains two folders, the default resolution format and a high-resolution folder.
DesignEvo Pros & Cons
The Good
1. DesignEvo is very easy-to-use with a simple design interface and just anyone can create a professional logo.
2. You don’t necessarily have to register to design and download a logo from DesignEvo. You can simply start designing your logo in one click and download immediately. However, you can’t save a copy of your design without an account.
3. You can use DesignEvo on any web browser, whether PC or Mac. Also, it has a desktop version but currently available on Mac alone at the moment. But if you don’t have one, you can always use the mobile app version to create your logo. The mobile app version is available on Android and iOS.
4. You can always preview your logo before downloading, this gives you an option to look through your logo again to see if it suits you or you want to make changes before you finally download.
6. Logos are available in a ready-to-print format. So, you can print your logo on your business card, T-shirt or any other objects. (The 3 file formats included are JPG, PNG and transparent PNG)
The Bad
1. Every template or icon you use for designing your logo remains on DesignEvo even when you opt for the paid version. So you shouldn’t be surprised if come across a logo with a similar design to yours.
2. You can not add (upload) custom image, icons or text to design your logo. you can only work with the predefined set of objects.
There are thousands of shapes and icons you can choose from so you can always come up with different ideas for your logo.
