Glo 4G LTE is Now Available on Band 3 (1800MHz)

The grandmaster of data, Glo has confirmed that Glo LTE is now available on Band 3 (1800MHz). Despite the fact that Glo still has one of the best data packages, there’s has been a major complaint amongst subscribers that their smartphones don’t support Glo 4G band frequency and therefore cannot enjoy Glo 4G LTE in several regions in the country.

Earlier this year it was reported that the telecom company was working to extend its 4G LTE frequency to band 3; the same frequency band Airtel and 9mobile make use.

Glo NG is already rolling out Band 3 frequency and subscribers from different cities in Nigeria has confirmed that Glo 4G LTE is now available on Band 3 (1800MHZ).

Subscribers can now access Glo 4G LTE on Band 3 (1800MHz) and Band 28 (700MHz). Glo may offer the best-valued plan, however, the epileptic Glo 3G network can make you feel tired of surfing the net, but with the new 4G LTE band, users might actually get to see improvements on Glo’s network.

The new Band 3 supports most smartphones and many subscribers have confirmed the band 3 is working at their region. So, except if you are not using a smartphone, a 4G enabled smartphone or an upgraded Glo 4G SIM, you’ll also enjoy the new 4G LTE frequency.
