Google Play Games Public Beta: Play Android Games On PC

Google has rolled out the first public beta of the Google Play Games for PC to allow mobile gamers to take the Android gaming experience to a bigger and more immersive environment. This is a huge project and one that I personally find interesting given that I have always wanted to run Android games natively on Windows without depending on an emulator. We’ve seen a couple of Android games make their way to the Microsoft store and run smoothly and I’m really looking forward to the same experience with the new Google Play Games platform for PC.

While there are a number of Android emulators online that you can install to run Android games on your PC, at the moment, non of them is bringing the same level of experience that the Google Play Games for PC offers. You’ll get a more optimised gaming experience and better graphics with the new Google gaming platform for PC and since the project is still in beta, you can expect to run into one or two issues and the UI is not perfect yet. Overall, I’d rate it a 6/10 based on my own experience.

There are not many Android games on the platform yet, however, you will find some popular titles to play. Also, you’ll be able to sync your gameplay across all your devices with your Google account. You switch between devices conveniently and continue your game where you left off. Google Play Points reward system is also bundled with the program which I think is great.
