Google cloud gaming service, Stadia, has been made available in 14 countries and can be accessed for free for users with a Gmail account without paying a dime. Google is making Stadia Pro subscription free for the next two months to help tackle the pandemic and help maintain a healthy social distancing.
Users who are already on Premium subscription will also benefit from the free trial, as they won’t be paying for the next two months.
“We’re facing some of the most challenging times in recent memory. Video games can be a valuable way to socialize with friends and family when you’re stuck at home, so we’re giving gamers in 14 countries free access to Stadia for two months,” said Stadia VP and GM Phil Harrison.
After the free trial, users can continue to enjoy the premium subscription for $10 or continue with the Base tier which is limited to 1080p, 60fps, and stereo sound.
The two months free premium subscription will users nine free games to enjoy on the service, including Thumper, Destiny 2, SteamWorld Dig 2, and GRID.
You can buy other games from Stadia Marketplace, however, you should know that it currently supports only 38 games in total, meaning you won’t have many games to play on the service.
