How To Block GTBank ATM card (Lost/Stolen)

Guaranty Trust Bank (GTB) offers two means of blocking ATM card if it gets stolen or misplaced by the owner. The methods are through USSD or Mobile app/web

First Method – Using USSD

To block your GTBank ATM card simply dial the USSD *737*51*10# on your mobile device. The phone number you’re using for this must be associated with your GTBank account to work.

In a case whereby you were rob or probably lost your phone which houses the SIM (number) registered with your account, then the internet banking or mobile app option will be the best option.

Second Method – Using Internet Banking/Mobile app

To block stolen or lost GTBank ATM card using internet banking or mobile app, follow the simple steps below.

1. Login to your GTBank internet/app.
2. Locate where there is a card and click on it.
3. Select ‘Hotlist’ and insert your card number, request reason and so on.
4. Click submits and waits.
5. A Pop-up screen option will appear asking you to confirm the deactivation of your ATM card.
6. Confirm card block and that’s it.

How To Block First Bank ATM Card

Unlike GTB, First Bank Nigeria only offer USSD self service to block lost or stolen ATM cards, to disable your ATM card, follow the simple steps below.

Steps to block First Bank ATM Card With USSD Code

1. Send “BLOCK” to 30012 with the number connected to your account
2. You’ll receive a confirmation message after
3. Your card, however, may take some time to get deactivated but within 24 hours your ATM card will be disabled.

How To Block Fidelity Bank ATM Card

To disable your lost/stolen Fidelity bank card, Simply dial *770*911# on the number connected with your account and follow the prompts.

You’ll get a list all ATM card linked to your account and then you’ll be asked to select the particular one you want to block.

How To Block Zenith Bank ATM Card

Zenith Bank also offer two self service options to block your ATM card if lost or stolen, via App/internet and USSD option.

First Method – Using USSD

1. Log in to Zenith Bank app
2. Click on the menu bar and select Cards and Cheques.
3. Now select Deactivate Card under Type and enter a reason for deactiavation.
4. click on continue.

Second Method – Using Internet Banking/Mobile app

1. Dial *966*911# from your device or any device if you don’t have your phone with you.
2. Enter your account number followed by your Mobile number as requested
3. Now, press 1 to confirm your request and instantly block your account.

How To Block Stanbic IBTC Bank ATM Card

Stanbic IBTC Bank lets you block your Card through USSD code and sms option, to block lost or stolen Stanbic IBTC bank card, follow he simple steps below.

First Method – Using USSD

1. Dial the USSD code *909#
2. Select my bank
3. Select service request
4. Click on block card.

Second Method – Using SMS

1. Launch your SMS app
2. Now, Send Block card “AccNumber” to 30909 (e.g Block card 020000**** as text to 30909)

Note: These process will only work on the number linked with your account, so, make sure you’re using your registered number.

How To Block Union Bank ATM Card

Union Bank offers only SMS self service option to block your lost/stolen Union Bank card, to disable your card, follow the instruction below.

1. Launch your SMS app
2. Now text BLOCK CARD “Accnumber” to 20123 using the phone number linked with your account. (e.g Block card 020000**** as text to 20123)

How To Block Access Bank ATM Card

Unlike every other bank, Access bank offers the most easiest and simplest means to disable a lost or stolen bank card. It does not require you dialing code or sending SMS, you can disable your card just by doing the following.

• For lost of your debit card dial 18005548969 or 18005583424
• You are done with this; your ATM card will be deactivated instantly.

How To Block Keystone Bank ATM Card

Keystone bank does not offer any self service option, no USSD code, dialer or internet app option, however, you can block your bank card contacting the bank.

How To Block Wema Bank ATM Card

Wema Bank gives customers the option to block their bank card using their mobile app/internet banking solution and via SMS message.

First Method – Using Mobile App or Internet Banking Solution

1. Login to your Wema Mobile app or Internet Banking
2. Click on Card Service/Card Control
3. Select disable card

Second Method – Using SMS

1. Launch your message app
2. Send CARD ATM OFF to 33352 as text using the mobile number assocaited with your Wema Bank account.

How To Block UBA (United Bank Of Africa) ATM Card

To block a lost or stolen UBA ATM Card, simply dial *919*10# using the number linked with your UBA Bank account.

Or, use the USSD option to disable your card.

Using USSD

1. Dial *919#
2. On the next screen, select “7”
3. Select Banking services
4. Select “1” to block debit card
5. Now, you’ll be asked to enter your account number and send, and you are done.

Using internet banking/App platform

1. log on to the UBA internet banking platform
2. Select self-service
3. Request to block your card

HOW to Block FCMB ATM Card

FCMB also does not offer any self service option. Customers can however, block lost or stolen ATM card by calling them on +234 2798800 or Send an Email to their support at customerservice@fcmb.com requesting that your ATM Card should be blocked after the provision of relevant information.

How To Block Unity Bank ATM Card

Unity Bank do not offer USSD, SMS or internet banking self service option to disable lost or stolen ATM card but you can prevent fraudulent activities on your account by contacting the bank to block your lost or stolen Unity Bank ATM Card.
