However, if you’ve bought a FreeDOS PC and you performed a clean installation of Windows OS, then you’re likely not going to see any of the above-mentioned information on the properties of your system.

Gratefully, clients can include or alter these properties reasonably effectively, which can prove to be useful in case you’re building PCs for others or you simply want to add some sort of identification for your PC.

Editing your device OEM information requires you to make some registry edit. Tweaking your system’s registry may be a bit complicated and messing with it may result in a malfunctioning PC/Laptop. To edit your OEM info correctly, simply follow the guide ahead.

Step 5. To add custom OEM logo which can also be your cropped picture, reduce the span of your picture to close to 150 pixels wide or tall and make it as a 24-bit bitmap (BMP) picture record for best appearance. If you already have a logo or picture to use, simply convert it to a 24-bit bitmap. Now save the image somewhere, I recommend saving it in the system32 folder on your C: drive “C:WindowsSystem32”.

Now add a record like this for the image

Name >>   Data

Logo  >>   “Path of the image to display”
