How To Prepare Infinix Note 4 For Oreo O.T.A Update
Users should get updates soonest and should prep up in other to avoid trouble upgrading their devices. Here are some TIPS to help you in the course of your upgrade.
Firstly, unroot your device
- Unroot your device if you are rooted or go back to stock if you run a custom ROM already. This is very important to avoid issues like a bricked phone. If a user is rooted on his device, He becomes a developer and has developer rights. He will be able to upgrade his device on his own through custom ROMs. Unfortunately, he can’t be a developer and still expect developer duties from manufacturers. A big contradiction will occur and chances are you device will go haywire. So, if your device is one of the listed and you have root access, kindly unroot your device. you could also flash in your stock ROM. By flashing your stock ROM everything will be back to brand new, which is best. Check for some Infinix stock ROMs if need be.
If your device will not recieve this update, custom ROM like this Oreo for LG NEXUS 4 are always best to go with if you want to get enjoy the oreo or any other different ROM apart from stock.

Prepare your storage
- There could be storage issues, although this could be very rare. System updates are applied to the /system partition which is not accesssible to you or your applications. it will over-write your existing android version and should not take up more user space(space is already reserved for the operating system ranging from 512MB to 4GB) its always there whether there are new updates or not. This space is not accessible to users ( This is nothing like where you save movies). But in some exceptional cases where you need to download the update file first before installation you will need to free up space ranging from 200MB to 3GB in most cases, but this is a temporary storage and will be released after installation.
