Best iOS 13 Features And List Of Apple Device To Recieve The Update

The tech giant Apple has announced its next major OS update at its annual Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) 2019. The iOS 13 update bags tons of interesting new features that promise to boost the overall user experience. Below are some of the new best features in the new iOS update.

1. Dark Mode

With the iOS 13 update, Apple has introduced a system-wide dark mode feature which is also one of the most anticipated features in the Android eco-system. The Dark mode feature is one of the biggest features arriving on iOS 13.

Although system-wide dark mode has been around on Android even before the recent Google Android Q update, thanks to Android custom ROMs. Seeing it as part of the OS options is really great for both Android and iOS user.

2. Performance Improvements

According to Apple, apps size will now be 50% smaller in the latest iOS update and app updates will be 60% smaller. iOS 13 also promises to make Face Unlock 30% faster as compared to iOS 12 and apps will launch 2times faster.

Apple has given some of its apps a revamp design and added new photo and video editing tools.

3. Swipe typing

Apple is also introducing swipe typing, a feature Android users are very familiar with. Apple has now decided to adopt the swipe typing feature on iOS 13, and is calling this new features “Quick Path“.

4. Sign In With Apple

In the fight to tackle privacy, the tech giant also introduced a new “Hide My Email” option. This will hide your email address from app developers and will generate a random email address for you to use. Emails will then be forwarded to your original email ID from the randomly generated email address.

Also, Apple has implemented a “Sign in with Apple” feature that will allow users to sign-in into any websites without revealing any personal information. This is similar to the sign in with Facebook, google option that we’re already familiar with.

Lastly, Apple fans will miss iTunes as the app will be seeing its end after 18 years. However, it will be replaced with three other apps that you’re already familiar with and offers the same feature: Apple Music, Apple TV, and Apple Podcasts. However, iTunes store will still exist on iOS and Macs.

  • iPhone X
  • iPhone 8
  • iPhone 8 Plus
  • iPhone 7
  • iPhone 7 Plus
  • iPhone 6S
  • iPhone 6S Plus
  • iPhone SE
  • iPod Touch (seventh generation)

iPhone 5S, iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus users, however, won’t be getting this new iOS update.

The tech giant also announced it newly renamed iPadOS, and will be coming to the following iPad devices:

  • iPad Pro (12.9-inch)
  • iPad Pro (11-inch)
  • iPad Pro (10.5-inch)
  • iPad Pro (9.7-inch)
  • iPad (sixth generation)
  • iPad (fifth generation)
  • iPad mini (fifth generation)
  • iPad mini 4
  • iPad Air (third generation)
  • iPad Air 2

The iPad Air and the iPad mini 2, however, won’t be getting the update.

That is iPhone 5s, iPhone 6, iPad Air and iPad mini 2 users will be stuck on the previous iOS 12 update.
