Tech giant Apple released its first 2020 iPhone last month (April 2020), the iPhone SE 2, a budget yet powerful iPhone. The device uses Apple flagship chip, the A13 Bionic chip which also powers the iPhone 11. The iPhone SE 2 comes in a familiar compact body which makes us think it is an upgrade to the iPhone 8.
We all know Apple has a lot of other plans for 2020 and maybe the coronavirus pandemic is just slowing down things for the company. The world is still expecting the arrival of Apple’s 2020 flagship device, the iPhone 12. Amidst all this, the latest rumour suggests that the upcoming iPhone 12 will launch with a 6.7-inch display with features like 120Hz ProMotion Display, 3x telephoto zoom.
According to popular tech YouTuber Max Weinbach, the iPhone 12 lineup will consist of 4 variants with different screen sizes, a 5.4-inch display iPhone, two 6.1-inch display and a 6.7-inch display iPhone. Weinbach also said the device will most likely be rolled out in the second half of 2020.
Weinbach also said Apple will be shrinking the notch area on the iPhone 12 series to give fans more screen space. Even though all this are just rumours, there is no doubt that Apple will be using its latest A14 Bionic processor with 5G network support on the device.

Adaptive Refresh Rate
While the iPhone 11 comes with a 60Hz screen refresh rate, the iPhone 12 Pro is said to have an adaptive refresh rate like the iPad Pro that switches 60Hz to 120Hz situationally and according to the remaining battery life.
The iPhone 12 Pro models are also expected to have a bigger 4,400 mAh battery to compensate for the extra power required to run the 120Hz display.
Other iPhone 12 Speculations
Weinbach also reported that Face ID feature on the iPhone 12 will see some changes, like identifying users face from a wider angle. As for the cameras, the rear camera will come with an upgraded Smart HDR mode that will minimize the noise in photos taken in a low light setting.
Also, the iPhone 12 Pro camera will come with a 3x telephoto zoom and a LiDAR scanner that will up the accuracy for portrait mode and increase the speed of autofocus.
This information, however, should be taken as a pick of salt as there is no official statement from the tech giant itself. A lot of changes can be expected in the design and features of the upcoming iPhone 12 series.
