Learn Anything in 60 Secs With Google Tangi

We all know there are several online streaming platforms where you can learn how to do things but YouTube has always been the go-to platform to learn anything on the internet with its diverse content library. Google, however, thinks we should have another platform to learn how to in 60 sec instead of browsing through the lengthy Youtube videos which may not necessarily give us the answer to our search.

Google has announced Tangi, an “experimental social video sharing app” which allows curators to share a 60-second tutorial to teach you just anything you want to know.

This doesn’t mean you can learn how to develop a website or mobile app under 60 seconds, lol. However, you’ll find tutorials on Art, Cooking, DIY, Fashion and Beauty, and Lifestyle categories.

For now, there is no technology category, but we believe it will be added soon enough. One can’t possibly do without tech nowadays.

The name Tangi was derived from three words “TeAch aNd GIve and tangible ” which means things you can make. It is an experimental app borne out of Google’s Area 120 lab, specifically meant for 1 minute (60 sec) videos.

Where Can I download Tangi App?

Tangi app is available on the iOS App store and interestingly, it’s not yet available on Google’s Playstore. We’re sure why Google had to skip its mobile platform for iOS platform but it’s not surprising as this is not the first time the tech giant has done something like this.

On the other hand, Android users can still visit Tangi’s official website to check out stuff.

The app, however, is still under experiment, and may possibly be terminated if it doesn’t meet Google’s expectation. It is just my guess of course and we’d like the see what plans Google has for Tangi.

So, what do you think about Tangi? will it survive alongside YouTube? Share your thoughts in the comments.
