The long-awaited macOS – macOS Big Sur (or macOS 11.0) is now officially available to all compatible Mac computers for download. Apple announced the availability of its latest macOS today in a blog post where it also stated that the Big Sur has been engineered to run seamlessly on its new M1-Powered MacBook PCs.
The macOS Big Sur features a refresh UI design, icons, menu bar, and borrowed a couple of new designs from the iOS – the new control centre UI, widgets, and several improvements over its predecessor (more details here). Big Sur is a major transition for Apple from the OS X/ OS 10 which it has been using for its Mac computers for almost 20 years.
