Foldable Flexipai Is The First Of It’s Kind
It is called the Flexipai, from the stables of Royole technologies which means Royal in English. A conference was held on Wednesday where the device was launched and the company has started to receive pre-orders for the device.

Unfolded, the Flexipai spreads up to 7.8-inches just like the iPad mini. The screen has a 1920 x 1440 resolution and 4:3 aspect ratio. When folded, the device turns into a dual-screen smartphone that has three screens.
The primary screen has a resolution of 810 x 1440 with 16:9 aspect ratio, the secondary display is at 720 x 1440 and 18:9 aspect ratio, while the edge display features 390 x 1440 resolution and a 21:6 aspect ratio. The edge screen is where your notifications like incoming calls and text are displayed when you are watching videos and so on.
The device is said to have a faster charging tech called the RO charge which is 20% better than the popular fast charge. This will ship with Qualcomm next-gen chip (8-series), Other specs include 6GB or 8GB of RAM and 128GB, 256GB or 512GB of storage. Water/dust resistance is not known yet but in the US, only the 128GB and 256GB models are available for pre-order, priced at $1,318 and $1,469, respectively.
