Microsoft Confirms Price And Release Date For Xbox Series X And Series S

Microsoft has finally confirmed the price and release date of its next-gen console. Just as earlier leaks suggested, the Xbox Series X will be priced $499 (NGN 190,368), the Series S will retail for $299 (NGN 114,068) and both will be available starting November 10 globally.

The Redmond company took to their official Xbox Twitter account to announce the news while also announcing that all pre-orders begin on Tuesday, September 22.

The pricing, however, will be different for European users and UK users. According to Xbox official German-language Twitter account, users will pay €499 for the Xbox Series X while fans in the UK will have to pay £449.

Microsoft is also expanding its Xbox All Access program to 12 countries, giving users an Xbox Series X or S and 24 months of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate for $24.99 a month or $34.99 a month respectively. This payment period lasts for 24 months.

Microsoft says more counties will join this list in 2021.

The company also confirmed that the availability of EA Play game subscription service on Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC at no extra cost.
