This festive season already promises to be an interesting one since a lot of brand new devices has begun to launch. The premium devices launched earlier in the mode of the Samsung S9, iPhone XS and it’s compatriots. Google Pixel 3XL followed suit and most recently is the launch of Huawei Mate 20 among others. But November looks like the month for the mid-range as Infinix and Tecno are looking to make emphatic comebacks. Both companies have launched the Hot 6X / 6X Pro and Camon 11 / 11 Pro.
And in today’s article, we will be taking a close look at Tecno Camon 11.
Tecno Camon 11 Specification And Overview
Not completely different from what we have seen lately from the company before, the notch was present in Camon iclick2 and Camon i2X earlier too. Notch display for the most of 2018 has been a trend, especially in premium devices. Camon 11 Pro has features similar to the Camon 11 from the camera prowess to the processor’s strength and many others. It also does not look like a 16GB internal memory version will be available for this Tecno phone.

Design And Display
Tecno Camon 11 and Camon 11 Pro comes with a 6.2-inch, 1500 × 720 pixels, FullView display. Both devices have a notch and like in many other notched devices, it has it’s own selfie camera, earpiece and led flash to itself. This device has its USB charging port and headphone jack at the top and the stereo speaker below.
On the back, the device holds a dual camera setup with a led flash just below it. The fingerprint sensor and the company’s logo remains in its usual spot. While both devices will come in different colors, the Pro version will also be getting a Diamond Fire design option.
Processor
Tecno Camon 11 / 11 Pro will be using a quad-core processor, that’s pretty low, Tecno seems to have an undying love for quad-core processors, most of their devices that were launched this year uses a quad-core processor, it would have been better if they had incorporated octa-core processor.
However, Tecno is setting its standards so high with the 2.0GHz processor rate. Tecno Camon 11 users will boast of a MediaTek MT6761 Quad-core which clocks at 2.0GHz while the Pro will use MT6762 Quad-core, also clocks at 2.0GHz. Even more than the recently launched Infinix Hot 6X that clocks at 1.4ghz. You are guaranteed of speed while handling tasks and seamless performance when you are on ‘memory hungry’ Apps and games.
Specifications like this one on the Tecno Camon 11 makes us unsure whether to consider the smartphone a mid-range or Premium device. After all, not only a $999 device can be premium.
Memory And OS
3GB/4GB RAM is ideal enough for a device of this caliber. 3GB/4GB is a feat the premium smartphones of this world also aim while the Pro version is expected to ride on a 6GB hardware. Camon 11 will have a 32GB/64GB opening to save files and media, although the Pro will be 64GB only.
Both devices will be running the most recent Android 8.1 Oreo OS along with the company’s customized OS, HiOS 4.1 which includes Chromebook support, gesture navigation, and many other cool features.
Camera
There’s been a number of mid-range releases this year from itel to Samsung to Infinix, Tecno and other. But when it comes to the camera, Tecno deserves some recognition. The number of pixels aside, the quality also speaks volume. A 16MP A.I selfie camera + led flash, 13MP + 2MP dual rear cameras + led flash for the standard version while the Pro version will get a 24MP A.I selfie camera +led flash and a 16MP + 5MP dual rear camera + led flash. The cameras are aided by features like AI HDR, AI Beauty, Panorama, Super Pixel mode, and Bokeh mode.
We all know the Tecno Camon series has always been about the camera (photography), so the Camon 11 camera really does it. Both devices selfie camera also come with improved Face ID security including features like live monitoring, unlock the phone when lighting up the screen and some other new tech.
Battery
3750mAh is around 250mAh less than Infinix hot 6 and 1250mAh less than the Tecno Pouvoir 2 but a lot of folks still embrace this 3750mAh. Just as expected, fast charge feature is available on this device. In less than 2 hours 15 minutes your Tecno Camon 11 will be up to the brim.
Price And Availability
The price is unannounced at the moment and there’s no date as to when the device will hit stores. However, Camon 11 would probably cost around $200 – $250.
