For some weeks now, we’ve been talking about the next generation smartphones of which rumors have revealed some will be featuring a 5-camera setup, 5G and some other advanced tech. However, it seems Oppo has something else we weren’t expecting to see this year, a 10GB RAM smartphone.
World’s First 10GB RAM Smartphone – Oppo Find X
I guess some of us have already seen the Oppo Find X which launched in July this year. The device features a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 system-on-chip, up to 256GB storage, 3,730 mAh battery with VOOC fast charging support, and a pop-up camera which seems to have grabbed much attention.
Until today, we’ve seen a smartphone with 4GB of RAM, 6GB and even 8GB. 8GB has been considered the biggest memory capacity incorporated in a mobile phone. However, it seems the Chinese manufacturer Oppo has seen that even the 8GB RAM will not be enough to power your smartphone and has now decided to release a new Oppo Find X variant which will be featuring a huge 10GB RAM memory.
Even my PC doesn’t use that amount of RAM.
According to reports from TEENA, the new variant of the Oppo Find X will not be getting other hardware upgrades except for the bigger RAM, every other features will remain the same as the standard version.
But that huge amount of RAM makes me wonder if I can now dual boot Windows and Linux along with the Android OS. Does it even make any sense?
I guess this is just another sign that 2019 will uncover so many new tech that will blow our minds.
