Xiaomi launched the Redmi Note 9 Pro and Pro Max in India 2 months ago without introducing the successor to last years Redmi Note 8, I’m talking about the base Redmi Note 9. The company also launched Redmi Note 9s a global variant of the Note 9 which happens to be the global variant of the Note 9 Pro in disguise. The company has now launched the Note 9 and Note 9 Pro following the company’s normal device launch standards alongside the Mi Note 10 Lite.
Redmi Note 9 launches with a MediaTek Helio G85 gaming Soc, an upgrade over the Helio G80 and the Snapdragon 665 on its predecessor, the Note 8. Redmi Note 9 Pro, however, launches with Snapdragon 720G, the same processor used on the India variant and Redmi Note 9s. Both devices pack impressive upgrades over the Note 8 and Note 8 Pro from last year and enters the market with a $199 price tag.

Redmi Note 9 packs a quad-camera setup like every other Note 9 variant, having a 48MP Samsung GM1 main camera. Note 9 uses a rear mounted fingerprint sensor unlike other variants. While the front facing camera is fixed at the top middle for other Note 9 variant the base model has it front facing camera shifted to the top left corner.

The Redmi Note 9 Pro is the simply the global version of the Indian Note 9 Pro Max, it comes with the same design and features. It is equipped with 6GB and upto 128GB of storage.

Redmi Note 9 will arrive in the market with a starting price of $199 (approx N77,600) for the 3GB/6GB variant and $249 (approx N97,000) for the 4GB/128GB variant. The Redmi Note 9 Pro, on the other hand, will start selling for $269 (approx N105,000) for the 6GB/64GB variant, and $299 (approx N117,000) for the 6GB/128GB variant. Xiaomi also launched the Mi Note 10 Lite along with the Redmi Note 9 series, it features a 6.47-inch FHD+ curved AMOLED panel with a waterdrop notch. Itis powered by Qualcomm’s mid-range Snapdragon 730G SoC, coupled with up to 6GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. The device also features an in-display fingerprint scanner, as opposed to the capacitive scanners on the Redmi Note 9 series.

Mi Note 10 Lite pricing and availability
The Mi Note 10 Lite will be available in 3 colour options — Nebula Purple, Glacier White and Midnight Black — and will start selling at €349 (approx N150,000) for the 6GB/64GB variant. The 6GB/128GBGB variant, on the other hand, will start selling for €399 (approx 171,000). The device will be available for purchase globally starting mid-May.
Event though that midiatek has some performance i would have preferred if they used a snapdragon processor. I don’t know but for some reason i don’t like midiatek processors
The fact that snapdragon performs better in most cases doesn’t mean the MediaTek Soc is bad. Besides, it a gaming Soc, it performance can’t be bad, I guess.
