The Redmi Note 9 series recently launched and Xiaomi fans are really excited about the new mid-range Redmi line-up. The Redmi Note 9 series comes with closely similar specs except for the base model which is powered by a MediaTek gaming Soc. The Redmi Note 9 series offers a great value for money. All models features an IPS LCD hole-punch screen, Android 10 (MIUI 11), 16MP selfie camera, 48MP rear camera for the base model and the Note 9s while the top-end version spots a 64MP main camera.
The Note 9 devices also come with up to 128GB storage and while the base model uses a MediaTek Helio G85 gaming Soc, other models are powered by latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G mid-range Soc.
Some fans are actually disappointed that the base model runs a MediaTek Soc, but I personally don’t see anything wrong with that. Yes, the MTK Soc on the base model is lower to the Helio G90T on the Note 8 Pro which also means a drop in performance, but, I’ve actually played with the Note 8 Pro very well and the performance is as good as the Snapdragon 730 Soc.
Xiaomi also went far to make the kernel source of the Note 8 Pro available, so that users can enjoy development just as other Snapdragon model. So, I’m pretty sure the Note 9 won’t disappoint as well.
Interestingly, all three model houses a whopping 5020mAh battery with fast charging support. The base model gets a reverse charging in addition while other models didn’t.
