How to flash ROM

  1. Download the RR 6.0.1 Marshmallow ROM and Google Apps from the link below.
  2. Now copy & paste the downloaded Android 6.0.1 ROM zip file and Google Apps.zip files to the root if your SD card (not in any folder).
  3. Then turn OFF your phone and boot into Recovery Mode. Switch ON the phone while pressing and holding Volume Up + Home + Power buttons together
  4. Once you are in Recovery Mode, select perform a full data wipe by selecting “wipe data/factory reset”. Use the Power button to select everything while in the Recovery Mode.
  5. Then, perform a cache wipe by selecting “wipe cache partition”.
  6. This step is optional, but it is recommended to perform a wipe of your Dalvik cache as well. You will not get into boot loops or any other errors. From Philz recovery, go to ‘advanced’ and then select “wipe Dalvik cache”.
  7. Then go back to the main recovery screen and select “install zip from SD card”.
  8. Now select “choose zip from sd card”. Using your volume keys, navigate to the Android 6.0.1 ROM zip file that you copied to your SD card and select it using the Power button. Confirm the installation on the next screen and the installation procedure should start now.
  9. Google Apps: Repeat the above step for the Gapps zip file as well and install it on your phone.
  10. After the installation completes, go back to the recovery main screen,“+++++Go Back+++++” and reboot the phone by selecting “reboot system now” from the recovery menu.
Note First boot after ROM installation takes quite some time, around 5-7 minute.Don’t panic it’s normal and once it finishes booting, you should now have RR V5.7.3 Android 6.0.1

  1. step 1: Download esfile explorer from playstore

    Step 2: Enable root explorer in the app as it is disabled by default (Open the ES File explorer > tap the icon at top left to open its menu > go to Tools heading, and search for Root Explorer option. Tap the toggle button to turn it ON. A pop-up message will appear, and then tap on Grant to enable root access.

    Step 3: Then enable write access on system partition as follows:

    In the app menu, tap on Root Explorer text to bring up further options. Now tap on Mount R/W, and then select /system as R/W. Hit OK to enable the write access to system.

    Step 4: With system mounted in Read/Write (modification) mode, navigate to the folder: "/device/etc/sound". Find the file named "to3g" and tap on it, and then select to open the file as 'Text'.

    Step 5: Choose ES Note Editor as your app to open the text file, and then look for the following lines of code and change their value as specified below:

    – .Now change the value to 63
    – .change xx to 62

    Step 6: Save the file and that should fix the issue.

    Step 7: Open Root explorer settings again, and then select the Read Only (RO) option for /system to remove write access from system as it is no longer needed.
