Samsung recently unveiled it’s latest flagships ‘Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+’ at the mobile world congress during the Samsung unpacked event in Spain. Although there are no serious talking points as regards the design. It retained almost the same look as its predecessor, although the fingerprint sensor was reseated on the rear and is more comfortable for use unlike in Galaxy S8.
The Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+ still have so many outstanding features that drive it up to standards.The camera improvements, it has more color and graphics, water resisting feature are just enough to get users into a phone store as soon as they are available. The Samsung Galaxy S9 is sized at 5.8 inches and the S9+ at 6.2. They come with nice processors and storage as well.
How do Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+ compare to the iPhone X?
iPhone X is definitely going to be facing some well-deserved head to head comparison with Samsung S9 for obvious reasons. Both devices use OLED as screen technology and both have great camera strength.

But here’s where they differ;
Design
Apple’s 5.8 inched iPhone X was a completely a new design and was beautifully crafted as well. The Samsung galaxy S9 / S9+ came with a familiar look and are slightly larger; sized at 5.8 inches and 6.2 inches respectively.
Water / Dust Resistance
Samsung’s two new flagships are IP68 certified. Meaning it can be submerged up to 1.5 meters deep for up to 30 minutes. iPhone X is only IP67 certified. Meaning it can be submerged up to 1 meter deep in water for up to 30 minutes.
Power
Samsung Galaxy S9 carries a 4GB RAM and S9+ has a 6GB RAM embedded inside with either an octa-core Exynos 9810 chipset with four cores clocked at 2.7GHZ and running at 1.7GHZ or an octa-core Snapdragon 845 chipset with a similarly fast core.
The chipset you get is depending on where you are; the Snapdragon in the U.S and Exynos in other places. The iPhone X comes behind with a 3GB RAM.
There’s also this outstanding camera with a single lens which can switch between two different apertures. It also has optical image stabilization(IOS) just like the iPhone to keep photos blur-free. Samsung’s S9 / S9+ also has a slow-motion shooting ability.
The 3.5mm audio jack is kept alive in this device instead of the wireless method iPhone has adopted. S9 also has something similar to Apple’s Animoji. Its called AR Emoji, letting you create an emoji of your face and have it mimic your face though It’s front-facing camera.
How much will this device cost??
We know the Galaxy S9 price should be around £739, $719.99, or AU$1,199. Chances are there would be a drop in price after some time. Launch prices dont tend to last forever. The simple truth remains that The Samsung galaxy S9 price could sound huge, but it would definitely be worth the price.

Conclusion
The Samsung Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ might not have been much of an upgrade over the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ like would expect, but they’re certainly a worthy successors to last year’s model. The S9 goes for About 840 EUR while S9+ is About 990 EUR. This prices are on the high side for now but should reduce hopefully. Samsung generally delivers a quality so you can be rest assured that your money isn’t going for nothing.
