Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 Launched with Snapdragon 865+, 12 GB RAM, 4,500mAh Battery

Samsung has finally launched its latest foldable smartphone which it announced alongside the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra, Galaxy Tab S7, Galaxy Watch 3 and the Galaxy Earbud Live at its 2020 unpack event, the Galaxy Z Fold 2.

Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 2 comes with a huge upgrade over its predecessor, from bigger screen to faster processor, aesthetic design, more battery power and a lot more.

The Galaxy Z Fold 2 features a 7.6-inch QXGA+ Infinity-O Dynamic AMOLED primary display with 2208 x 1768 pixels resolution, 120Hz refresh rate which will allow for smooth scrolling and overall performance boost, and Samsung’s Ultra Thin Glass.

The secondary display sees an impressive increase, from the 4.6-inch HD screen on the 2019’s Galaxy Fold to a full view 6.2-inch dot notch HD+ Super AMOLED Infinity Flex display. The device comes with a closely similar rear finish to the Note 20 Ultra and uses a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. it includes Stereo speakers tuned by AKG and no 3.5mm headphone jack.

The Z Fold 2 also uses a sweeper structure similar to theat of the Galaxy Z Flip 5G in the gap between the body and the hinge to keep dust and particles out and prevent damage over time. Unlike the Galaxy Z Flip, however, Samsung has managed to make the gap in between the body even smaller.

One of the best features in the Samsung foldable phone series is the Flex mode which allows you to use some certain apps in split view on the main screen. Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 Pricing And Availability

The Galaxy Z Fold 2 is already available for Pre-orders and will start shipping to 40 markets from September 18. It will come in Mystic Bronze, Mystic Black, and Thom Browne Edition colour options.

The 12GB/256GB storage option will start selling at £1,799/€1,949/$1,999 (NGN 772,173). The 12GB/512GB option, however, will be exclusive to China and will start selling from September 9.

The Galaxy Z Fold 2 Thom Browne Edition, on the other hand, is priced at £2,999/$3,299 (NGN 1,274,337) and will come with the Galaxy Buds Live and Galaxy Watch 3 starting September 25.
