Samsung May Release A Smartphone With Four Cameras | Rumor

Few months ago, there were reports that the South Korean tech giant, Samsung might be integrating a five-camera setup on its next flagship device, of course, the Galaxy S10. After the report, we also heard Samsung may be bringing new features to the S10 which you’ll not find on any iPhone.

According to the latest report from Ice Universe, one of the most popular leaksters, the South Korean tech giant may be releasing a smartphone with four cameras.

If the rumors are true, it could only mean that Samsung is trying to regain its position in the market since the company had experienced a dipping sales from its previous flagship device, the Galaxy S9.

Ice Universe also said the quad camera device will not be the much anticipated Galaxy S10. Until now, we’ve only seen a triple-camera setup device of which Huawei P20 was the first device to incorporate this tech and Oppo R17 became the second smartphone to features.

With four cameras, the south Koren tech giant can pack exceptional AR gaming capabilities or VR powers to support Samsung Gear VR headset and also, there’s no information whether the four camera smartphone will be a part of Samsung’s existing series or debut under a brand new series.

It’s not certain whether the South Koren Most surprising part of the rumor is that the Samsung smartphone with four cameras is coming in 2018. It is not sure whether the touted smartphone will be launched this year, but we can expect a teaser from Samsung by the end of 2018.

However, there’s a possibility that Samsung could launch a premium mid-end smartphone with four cameras. DJ Koh, head of Samsung’s mobile division, tells CNBC that the company will focus on differentiating mid-end phones ahead of high-end devices.

“In the past, I brought the new technology and differentiation to the flagship model and then moved to the mid-end. But I have changed my strategy from this year to bring technology and differentiation points starting from the mid-end,” Koh told CNBC.

Ice Universe has caused quite a commotion in the smartphone market with this rumor. I guess we’ll have to wait to see whether Samsung is ready to surprise the public.
