For the first time in many years, the Hong Kong-based manufacturer TECNO is going to launch a Qualcomm Snapdragon-powered smartphone and will be launching into its Camon device series. The device is labelled Tecno Camon 15.
Tecno Camon 15 will be the first device from the firm to run a Snapdragon chip and it not going to be just any low-end Snapdragon chip, it is coming with the mid-range Snapdragon 665 chip.
Tecno has taken the first step in the right direction by introducing a smartphone powered by Snapdragon 665. I guess the company has finally come to realize that performance is not just about RAM and storage on a device.

There’s no doubt that MediaTek has some very good chip like the Helio P60 series, P70, P80, P90, the new Helio G70 and 80 gaming chipset among others, but we don’t get to see them on new Tecno phones.
What I like though is the fact that Tecno has actually taken a leap to Snapdragon 665.
TECNO Camon 15 features a 6.5 IPS LCD Infinity-O display (punch-hole screen), powered by an Octa-core (2 GHz, Quad-core, Kryo 260 + 1.8 GHz, Quad-core, Kryo 260) processor. It runs on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 Chipset with Adreno 610 to handle the Graphics.
It comes with 3GB RAM and 32 GB internal storage.
I don’t get it, why is the device equipped with a 32GB storage?
That is a disappointment, a 64GB option will be highly welcomed though.
We all know the Camon series boast of Camera and the Tecno Camon is not an exception, the device houses 48MP main camera + 8MP + 2MP + 2MP. An 8MP camera rests on the hole-punch display and it comes with features like Digital Zoom, Auto Flash and Facial detection.
Tecno Camon 15 runs Android 10 out of the box with Tecno’s latest HiOS skin. All this is fueled by a 4000mAh battery with quick charge support.

Tecno Camon 15 Price and Availability
Tecno Camon 15 is expected to be priced at Rs 9,999, approx US$140 (N51, 200). The device will be exclusive to Pakistan and we don’t know if the Camon 15 will go global.
