Tecno Mobile, a famous brand in Nigeria has just launched its first-ever laptop – the Tecno Megabook T1. The new laptop was unveiled at the IFA 2022 in Berlin and it packs impressive specs in an ultra-slim body.
The Megabook T1 comes with a premium finish that gives you that MacBook feels. The laptop is designed for generation Z with a Startrail Phantom design that breaks the normal design by adding the expose linear at the surface. The Startrail Phantom features a dual-tone with multiple shiny strips running across, which acts like the trajectory of the universe plants. The indistinct “MEGABOOK” bounce on the linear, like the young generation Z who are young and wild.

The new laptop features a 15.6-inch IPS FHD display in an all-aluminium body that makes for a robust and durable shelf life. The display comes with 100% sRGB, 350nits brightness and is TÜV Eye Comfort Certified to help you work, watch movies and play games without worry.
Megabook T1 comes in at just 14.8mm thickness and 1.4kg weight, making it lighter than most 15-inch laptops on the market. The laptop comes with two Type-C ports, an HDMI port, a USB 3.1, and two USB 3.0, a headphone jack and a TF card reader.
The device uses Tecno’s in-house sound system – Tecno VOC paired with DTS immersive sound and AI-powered technology to deliver an immersed audio experience. There’s also a dual mic system that employs AI ENC technology for noise cancellation during recording or calls.
As for the processing power, the Megabook T1 is equipped with an 11th Gen Intel® Core i5 processor paired with up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB SSD storage. It runs Windows 11 out of the box and the 70Wh battery promises up to 17.5 hours of battery life; pretty impressive. There’s is also a 65W charger to top the battery quick. For those that need more processing power, the device will also have an 11th Gen i7 model with similar specs.
Other notable features include a 2MP webcam, a fingerprint sensor built into the power button, Bluetooth 5.0, WiFi 6, a backlit keyboard and a Tecno Link that allows you to connect your Tecno smartphones wirelessly to transfer media and more.
Tecno Megabook T1 Price and Availability
The Megabook T1 laptop will be available in two memory/storage options. There will be a 12GB/512GB option and a 16GB/1TB storage option. As for the pricing, Tecno has not disclosed it, however, the laptop is expected to be priced between ₦295,000 – ₦350,000 for the Intel Core i5 model, while the Intel Core i7 will be more expensive.

The device is confirmed for this quarter, and will be available globally. You’ll be able to get the laptop in ROME Mint, Monet Violet, Champagn Golf and Space Grey colours.
