Tecno Mobile is about to launch a new smartphone series dubbed Pova into its smartphone portfolio. The Tecno Pova series will focus more on performance, speed, power and more interestingly, it will be made affordable. The Pova series will be the sixth product to launch under Tecno, joining the Phantom, Camon, Spark, Pouvoir and Pop series.
The Tecno Pova is a gaming smartphone by default, thanks to the Helio G80 gaming chipset (Octa-core) onboard. It is paired with 6GB of RAM to deliver optimal performance and 128GB onboard storage that can also be expanded via a microSD card.
The device is built around a 6.8″ Dot-in HD Display with 720*1640 resolution, 20.5:9 aspect ratio. It comes with a quad-camera setup with LED flash on the rear fitted on a rectangular vertical bump. The textured body comes with a glossy finish and has the Pova tattoo underneath the camera. There is also a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner.
The rear cameras on the device include a 13MP F/1.85 aperture clear lens + 2MP depth control lens + 2MP macro lens + AI lens and a super quad flash. Great image quality will be achieved thanks to the Helio G80 image processing ability and AI algorithms.
The POVA expands its shooting scene range and makes corresponding refinement and enhancement so as to capture more impressing photos. AI beauty, Super night mode, Portrait mode, AI detection, all have essential upgrades. Details and photo quality step forward a better level.
There is an 8MP Dot-in AI selfie camera that comes with dual front flash and features like AI beauty, Portrait mode, AR, Bokeh and more.
Tecno Pova runs the latest Android 10 OS with HiOS7 skin on top and housed by a massive 6000mAh battery capacity, with an 18W Dual IC Flash Charge. Tecno claims that charging for 10 minutes will allow users to use the phone for calling for 2.4 hours and music for 20 hours.
As for the pricing and availability, Tecno hasn’t revealed any, all other details will be revealed after the official launch of the device.
