It’s very interesting how technology is evolving around the smartphone space. Just last month, the South Korean tech giant, of course, Samsung introduced the W2019 to us, a flip phone with dual display and I guess we all know that dual screen phones have been around for a very long time, but seeing this technology on a Vivo Nex is way cooler than what we’ve ever seen before.
After several leaks and rumors, Vivo has finally launched a successor to the Vivo Nex, the Vivo Nex Dual Display Edition. The smartphone packs a whopping 10GB RAM, 3 cameras and of course, a Dual screen display.

The Vivo Nex Dual Display Edition features a dual screen display, it houses 6.39-inch OLED (2340×1080 pixels) Full HD+ Super AMOLED 19:5:9 aspect ratio display, DCI-P3 color gamut display on the front while the back has a secondary 5.49-inch OLED display.
In the camera department, the device holds three cameras placed at the rear side of the smartphone. The two cameras are rated at 12-megapixel (main camera), 4-axis OIS and a 2-megapixel (telephoto lens) with 2.9μm pixel size. The third camera is a 3D Time-Of-Flight stereo camera (3D/AR effects), also double as the selfie snappers and will be deployed primarily for advanced face unlock.
The rear part of the Vivo Nex Dual Display Edition also comes with the much-rumored Lunar LED Ring (A circle around the two rear cameras); this helps in popping up notifications and also acts as an extra flash, for selfies lovers. As for other specification of the Vivo nex dual display edition, the Vivo Nex Dual Display Edition is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor, coupled with 10GB of RAM. There is 128GB non-expandable internal storage and a 3,500mAh battery.
The device runs the most recent Oreo Android OS, 8.1.0 with the company’s customized FunTouch OS 4.5 on top and of course, it is accompanied by an in-display fingerprint scanner.
Price And Availability
The smartphone comes in Ice Field Blue and Starry Purple color variants and it’ll start selling at $737.
The Vivo Nex Dual Display Edition is available for pre-orders and will be available, starting December 29 in China.
