Vivo To Launch A Origin OS, A Replacement For Funtouch OS

When we begin to talk about manufactures or smartphones with beautiful UI/OS, Vivo is one of the many manufacturers that deliver beauty with its Funtouch OS while delivering performance and smooth transitions effects on its smartphones.

Just a few months ago, Vivo released the latest version of its Android OS, the Funtouch OS 11 and brought loads of new features while also improving on the previous. Now, however, Vivo will be replacing its Funtouch OS with a new OS called Origin OS.

The company has in the past thought of replacing Funtouch OS with Jovi OS but later abandoned the project. The company now believes the time for a change is due and wants to replace Funtouch OS with its new Origin OS which is ready for release already. So what exactly is Origin OS bringing that is different from Funtouch OS?

Vivo Origin OS Features

Currently, there are no much details about the Origin OS features, but rumours have it that it will bring an overhaul change to the UI and there will be a “switch to Android” toggle that probably will allow users switch back to stock Android after switching to Origin OS if they aren’t satisfied.

Vivo Origin OS Release date And Availability

Vivo is reportedly launching the new Origin OS November 18 at a “Special Event” that will take place in Shenzhen, China.

As for the availability, we don’t know when it rolls out to devices and if it will be rolling out as an update for users already running the Funtouch OS 11 and older devices. However, we believe the new OS might ship with newer devices in 2021.
