WHATSAPP NOW ALLOWS SHARING FOR ALL KINDS OF FILES
This means users are no longer restricted to things like photos, videos, PDFs, and Word documents: as long as the file is under 100 MB in size and can be found in your file manager, you can share ANYTHING. For this to be achieved before, a few of us use the renaming of file extension trick where you rename the unsupported file from the file manager into a supported file extension, just so that Whatsapp will see it as a supported file. That won’t be any necessary anymore.
To send the new file types via WhatsApp all you have to do is select documents when you click on the attachments icon. This will then allow you to share any type of file you like as long as it stays within the file size limit.
The file size limit for the new sharing capabilities will be 128mb for iOS, 64mb on the web and 100mb on Android.

The update, WhatsApp version 2.17.254, also improves the way bundled photos are viewed. Looking at the screenshot below, you’ll discover WhatsApp has made image sharing even more conducive. unlike when you’re receiving multiple images one after the other, WhatsApp now presents the images in a grid format and gives you a better preview of the images you’re receiving.
So, rather than seeing a column of a dozen pictures in a conversation, when multiple images are sent at once, these are now bundled into a more manageable thumbnail gallery. This can be tapped to view full-size versions of the pics.
