Xiaomi Announced Black Shark 2 Gaming Smartphone With 10GB RAM

It’s only a few months since the Chinese tech giant, of course, Xiaomi launched the Black Shark gaming smartphone and now, the company says its time for a sequel, as it launches the Black Shark Helo or has I would rather have it, Black Shark 2.

Black Shark 2 comes with interesting new upgrades and features. The biggest upgrade in Black Shark Helo is the 6-inch 1080p notchless AMOLED display. This company has decided to ditch LCD panel for a much better display. Helo comes in a more simpler design and this time Xiaomi has added RGB lighting which glows in a dark room or at night.

Unfortunately, Black Shark Helo has no headphone jack but Xiaomi also included two front-facing stereo speaker to deliver a better. The device comes with a vapour cooling chamber, a Gamer Studio app that lets you tweak the CPU, display, network, etc., this app also lets you create different gaming profiles for each game. Each game profile can be shared via the “Shark Code” feature.

In the camera department, Helo house a powerful 12MP+20MP f/1.75 rear camera, and a 20MP f/1.75 selfie shooter.

Black Shark Helo is powered by Snapdragon 845 chipset, 6GB RAM + 128GB storage, 8GB RAM + 256GB storage and a premium edition with 10GB of RAM + 256GB storage. It has built-in 4,000mAh battery and runs the most recent Android 8.1 Oreo OS.

Also, Black shark Helo comes with a more a suitable attachable controller to play games unlike the single analogue attachment from it predecessor. However, the 6GB and 8GB versions will ship with one analog stick attachment while the 10GB version will have a complete set.

Price And Availability

Xiaomi Black Shark Helo will be available in China alone after launnch and it starts shipping on October 30. Helo starts selling at $461 (approx N167,700) for the 6GB/128GB variant, $504 (approx N183,300) for the 8GB/128GB model and about $600 (approx N218,200) for the 10GB/256GB model.
