Xiaomi sub-brand Poco has officially launched a sequel to the 2018 Poco F1 smartphone, the Poco F2 Pro. The Poco F1 was a huge success for the company back in 2018 and the best-seller at the time. It sold over 700,000 units just 3 months after launch and now the company want to bet on the Poco F2 Pro.

In February 2020, the Poco sub-brand added a new device into the Pocophone lineup in India, the Poco X2 or should I just say a renamed Redmi K30. The phone was priced at $2220 and features similar specs as the Redmi K30 which launch in December 2019.

Like the Poco X2, Poco F2 Pro is a replica of the Xiaomi Redmi K30 Pro which launched last month.

Again, the Poco F2 is simply a renamed Redmi K30 Pro, it features the same design down to specs. It comes with a 6.67-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 92.7% screen to body ratio giving a true full screen and immersive experience. The screen has a 60Hz refresh rate which should keep up to the task and it also uses an in-display fingerprint sensor.

Like the Redmi K30 Pro, the Poco F2 Pro houses a quad-camera setup on the rear ontop a circular bump, a 64MP primary sensor assisted by a 13MP ultrawide lens, a 2MP macro lens, and a 5MP telephoto which is reportedly capable of taking zoom photo without loosing any qualities whatsoever.

The selfie camera uses a pop-up mechanism, holding a 20-MP camera with a 3D sensing system that can quickly sense falling and rolls back in. It also comes with a built-in custom fall protection spring which can also provide another layer of shock protection.

The phone runs the flagship Snapdragon 865 processor, bringing 5G connectivity to the device. It is paired with up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. It has the Adreno 650 GPU to handle its graphics processing and housed by a 4700mAh battery with 33W fast charging supported by a USB-C type port.

Even though flagship phones are doing away with headphone, the Poco F2 Pro retains the 3.5mm jack which is always appreciated. The device runs MIUI 11 based on Android 10 out of the box and uses it’s own custom Android launcher, the Poco launcher on the inside.

Poco F2 Pro Pricing And Availability

The Poco F2 Pro will be available in Blue, Grey, Purple and white colour options for the two storage model. The 6GB 128GB version is priced at EUR 499 which is about 102k in Nigeria while the 8GB 256 GB variant is priced at EUR 599 which is approximately 254k.
