Gaming smartphones are characterized by their features, their ability to allow high graphics games to function to the fullest. Size, screen resolution, the display refresh rate, battery life, RAM, CPU, GPU and so on are all key things to look out for. It would also have the edge as a gaming device if it has specific features or peripherals like a gaming joystick.
Razer phone was the first smartphone for gamers
November 2017, the world first gaming Android smartphone was unveiled by Razer company with amazing features. Asides the display of the Razer phone which sits at 5.7 inches, the 120 Gh refresh rate, the devices has a good GPU. 4000mAh battery, qualcomm snapdragon 835 processor, a loud twin front speaker with dolby Atmos support. Almost every feature here screams ‘Lets Game !!!’
Even though the Razer phone, Xiaomi black shark and some few others were specifically made with gamers in mind, there are several lot of phones out there that will do so well in the gaming department even though they are not specifically made for gamers.
I am talking about devices like the Samsung S9 plus with a 6GB RAM and Snapdragon 845, the iPhone X @ 2.39 ghz, One plus 5T and so on. Any android game that is available at the moment will bow to these phones.
Xiaomi Black shark
The Xiaomi black shark is a 5.99 inch device, bombarded with some serious performance specs. There were rumours of xiaomi planning to launch a razer phone competition and here we have it, the Xiaomi black shark is now official. It boasts of a massive 8GB RAM, the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 with octa-core processor. Black Shark, a gaming smartphone with a Liquid cooling component and attachable analog stick. It surprises with 2.8GHz processor speed even more than the iPhone X. There is a “liquid cooling system” which the company says will drop CPU temperatures by roughly 8°C and a “SHARK” button which enables a special high-performance mode. Here are the key specs;

The device’s launch follows an investment made by Xiaomi in Black Shark Technology, a Chinese gaming company that will presumably form part of the Mi ecosystem.
The first peripheral the device is launching with is the Black Shark gamepad, which will be offered for free for the company’s first 50,000 customers. It connects to the phone via Bluetooth and comes with its own 340mAh battery which can be recharged. It features a single joystick which can be used for movement in some of your favorite mobile games like PUBG – so long as the game you’re playing supports it.
The Black Shark Gaming Phone is already available for pre-order and it will start shipping on the 20th of April, when it can then be ordered normally. The 6GB/64GB variant costs $477. The 8GB/128GB variant costs a little more, costing roughly $557. If you want to buy the gamepad separately, it’ll cost you CNY179 (about $28).
